Highlights from our 40th Anniversary Tasting & Lunch

Many thanks to everyone who joined us on April 22nd to celebrate 40 years of Merryvale. It was wonderful to share with you all a selection of Profile wines spanning the last four decades. And after years of planning, it was our great pleasure to debut Profile 36, our commemorative bottling that encapsulates all 36 vintages of Profile to date. We hope you enjoyed these special wines, the paired lunch offerings, and Karen MacNeil’s insights as much as we did.

We were especially impressed by how well the first vintage of Profile, from 1983, has developed through the decades. We just wish there was more to share! MEET KAREN MACNEIL

Karen MacNeil, author of the award-winning book, The Wine Bible (now in its third edition), is the only American to have won every major wine award given in the English Language. These include the prestigious James Beard award for Wine and Spirits Professional of the Year, the Louis Roederer award for Best Consumer Wine Writing, the International Wine and Spirits award as the Global Wine Communicator of the Year and the Wine Appreciation Guild’s Wine Literary Award. TIME Magazine called Karen, “America’s Missionary of the Vine.” Karen has been named one of the “100 Most Influential People in Wine in the United States.”
