As its name implies, Peridot is a small gem of a vineyard encompassing 4 ½ acres in the northern tip of the Mt. Veeder appellation off of Wall Road. Nestled within the forest, this is a steep, terraced site, with elevations ranging from 900 to 1200 feet. With east/northeast exposures, Peridot has excellent airflow and drainage, and like the Altezia Vineyard, experiences a long growing season resulting in elegant and expressive wines.

“Peridot is a precious site, steep and challenging to farm, but with grapes that provide different characteristics than our Altezia Vineyard due to differing elevations and soil types. It’s a complementary piece to the puzzle.”
