Wine Component Tasting Seminar

The return of a Classic! Guests enjoy a tour of the historic winery, followed by a tasting of five different varietal wines. Throughout the tasting, guests identify examples of wine's basic components: tannin, acid, sugar and alcohol, as well as experience the influence of food on wine flavor.

Historic Tour & Barrel Tasting
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 1:30 p.m.
See the first Napa Valley winery built after the Repeal of Prohibition. From its roots as a cooperative featuring names like Mondavi and the Christian Brothers, to its rebirth as a state-of-the-art winemaking facility with alumni including Harlan, Levy and Test, Merryvale offers guests a glimpse into Napa Valley's winemaking past and a vision for its future. This walking tour takes a behind-the-scenes look at this historic winery along with the opportunity to taste award-winning wines and experience a barrel tasting.

Artisanal Cheese & Wine Pairing
Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m.
This seminar experience showcases local artisan cheeses paired with a selection of Merryvale's award-winning wines. Guests are invited to explore the world of wine and cheese with a wine educator and discover what makes these pairings so delicious. Please book this popular tasting in advance as it tends to sell out.

Library Portfolio Tasting

This unique tasting experience offers guests the opportunity to relax in one of Merryvale's private tasting areas as a wine educator presents a selection of both vintage and current release wines. See the Merryvale Wine Library with over 25 years of winemaking experience captured in limited production bottlings, verticals, and large format bottles, and enjoy wines aged in perfect cellar conditions. Designed for collectors and aficionados, this experience is not to be missed!

Barrel Tasting Events & Release Parties

Experience Merryvale's award-winning wines 'thieved' from French oak barrels. Winemakers Sean Foster and Graham Wehmeier select barrels that showcase our estate vineyards and the unique components that give our wines added complexity and elegance. Hosted in either our working barrel cellar or historic Cask Room, these events feature small bite food pairings and entertainment throughout the afternoon.
