WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Winemaking
A blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Semillon from our Juliana Vineyard in Pope Valley, this wine is 100% barrel fermented in 10% new oak and aged sur lie for five months. Yeast was used specifically to enhance aromatic expression.

Vintage
The 2010 harvest in the Napa Valley was a difficult yet rewarding vintage with the coolest summer since 1972 continuing into the fall, resulting in some of the latest picking dates in memory. The extended hang time did increase complexity in the grapes, which were picked at moderate to slightly lower sugar levels. The results were outstanding white wines with bright acidity and wonderful aromatics, and red wines with dense color, concentration, and balance, all at moderate alcohol levels.

The Wine
Pungent aromas of citrus, lemon-lime, green melon, alyssum flower, orange blossom, honeysuckle, kumquat, orange oil and vanilla bean. The wine is bright and round in the mouth with great minerality and very good length.
