WINEMAKER'S NOTES
The Beckstoffer family has been growing us some of our best Merlot in their Las Amigas vineyards since the mid-90s. This modern Carneros planting includes a number of excellent clones divided among many small blocks, all on a vertical, shoot-positioned trellis. 2004 was a very early season, from budbreak to harvest, and produced a relatively small crop of well-ripened fruit.
