WINEMAKER'S NOTES
The 2005 harvest was nearly three weeks later than in 2004, with a crop size a little bigger than normal. This bottling from Juliana Vineyards in the Pope Valley region of the Napa Valley has more Semillon than in recent years, to temper the high acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc lots that are the core of the wine. We also used a little more new French oak barrels than in past years to add more toasty, spicy notes to the wine.
