Young, tight and vibrant, but already showing complex nuances. The texture is pithy, yet the mix of ripe apple, butterscotch and honeydew melon flavors promises more good things to come. Needs a little time. Best from 2013 through 2020. 195 cases made.

2009 Chardonnay, Hyde Vineyard, Carneros
This light yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a ripe Bartlett pear bouquet with a hint of cantaloupe. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, creamy and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty ripe Bartlett pear with nicely integrated vanilla oak with hints of butterscotch and cantaloupe. The finish is dry, slightly crisp and lingers for a while. This wine is very food friendly and would be perfect with chicken cordon bleu with wild mushroom risotto.
